This is an introductory course in ceramics. The student will utilize hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques in the creation sculptural and functional artworks. In addition, basic glaze application and kiln firing processes will be presented. The development of ideas and concepts are encouraged through theory, criticism, and historical reference.
