A capstone course focusing on practical application of teaching skills. Successful students demonstrate proficiency by actively participating in the care and education of young children in early childhood settings. Students meet in weekly seminar sessions to develop proficiency in lesson planning, developmentally appropriate activities, and current issues and trends in the field of early childhood education. Prerequisites: Successful completion of EDEC 1020 and completion of, or concurrent enrollment in, EDEC 1100.
