This course explores investments, including stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. Students become knowledgeable about making transactions in the securities market and the role personal computers play in the world of investing. Students also gain an understanding of the relationship between changing life cycles and investment portfolio, retirement plans and goals, retirement program regulations, and estate preservation through proper planning. Prerequisite: Completion of DVST 0510 or ENGL 0510 (or equivalent placement test score).
