Students learn about energy and its various forms, state variables and equations of state, pure substances and property tables, reversible and irreversible processes. Students also apply laws of thermodynamics to analyze power, heat pump, and refrigeration cycles. Prerequisite: Completion of ES 2120 and MATH 2210.
