Description:
Students learn about the components of digital and fluoroscopic imaging equipment and evaluate their effects on radiographic qualities. Students follow the image acquisition process from the X-ray circuit to the transfer, storage, and remote assessment of medical images through the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) and describe the components of the medical imaging informatics workflow. Students assess quality assurance programs and analyze quality control tests on imaging equipment to ensure consistent high-quality radiographs. Prerequisite: Completion of RDTK 1610 and RDTK 1611.
