The ultimate goal of the course is to develop sophisticated, knowledgeable campers who are capable of outdoor camping, for any reasonable length of time, with the confidence to safely enjoy the experience. Emphasis is on personal fitness, prevention and treatment of common camping injuries, and setting up and enjoying an environmentally safe camp. Students plan and organize a two-night/three-day camping trip.
