The first semester of a two-semester sequence in organic chemistry. This course emphasizes the chemistry of carbon compounds with particular focus on organic functional groups, reaction mechanisms, and spectroscopy. Students desiring a one-semester terminal course should take CHEM 2300. Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisites: Complete CHEM1025-Chemistry I and CHEM1028-Chemistry I lab. Credits: (4.00 cr.)
