Description:
Students develop basic understanding of recording principles and techniques. Students examine the principles of sound, the operation and maintenance of studio equipment, and the systems, operation, and protocol of the modern digital recording studio. With tape-based recording as a starting point, students progress through such subjects as mixers, multi-track recording, effects processors, and microphones. (2 hrs lec, 2 hrs lab)
