Students learn the national and state standards of nursing practice of the Professional Nurse related to the responsibilities associated with medication administration. Students acquire the concepts and skills of basic medication therapy, drug dosage calculations and drug administration in order to safely, effectively, and competently care for clients across the lifespan in a variety of healthcare settings. Prerequisites: ENGL 1010, PSYC 1000, and ZOO 2010. Corequisites: NRST 1540, NRST 1710, and NRST 2820. (1.5 hrs lec, 1 hr lab)
