Through clinical learning experiences, students learn to function in the roles of the Associate Degree Nurse, provider of care, manager of care, and member within the discipline. Students use critical thinking as they apply the systematic stages of the nursing process to plan and provide safe, competent, and individualized care to treat client response to actual, unmet needs and manage the care of one or two client(s) who have well-defined health problems. Prerequisite: ENGL 1010, PSYC 1000, ZOO 2010 and successful admission to the Nursing Program. Corequisites: NRST 1540, NRST 1580, and NRST 2820. (6 hrs clinical)
