Covers proper watering, grooming, foot and veterinary care; aisleway, arena, and tack maintenance; and specific adherence to rules and procedures concerning horses in the Equine Center. Emphasizes basic health and horse care records; types of feed, composition, and evaluation of additives and supplements; and safe handling of horses. College does not provide horses. (2 hrs lab)
