This course is designed to provide training in the philosophy, applications and programming of challenge course and adventure education programming focusing on skills and techniques for proper facilitation practices of teambuilding, spotted activities, and low and high challenge course operations. Students are introduced to challenge course industry standards in facilitation, program design and management, and risk management that can be applied in various education settings such as the public schools, institutions for special populations, corporate institutions, and organizations. This course includes the exam for industry accredited certification as a Level 1 Practitioner. (2.5 hrs lec, 1 hr lab)
