POWR 1600 Power Plant Supply and Control I (2L,2LB,3CR) This course is designed to address power plant fuel supply, air supply, bottom ash and flyash disposal, auxiliary cooling water, and control systems. Students will be introduced to a supply systems overview. The uses of and relationships among auxiliary water, operating air, ignition oil, ash disposal and coal fuel systems will be explored as they relate to electric power production. These systems will be described and proper operating procedures will be explained. Prerequisite: successful completion of POWR 1500, or permission of the instructor.
