This course consists of three primary components: self-assessment, including assessment of the student's interests, aptitudes, and values; job search skills, including learning how and where to look for employment, devising cover letters and a resume, proper completion of employment applications, interview skills, and follow-up techniques; and a series of guest speakers who lecture and answer questions concerning a variety of careers, thereby expanding the student's knowledge about occupations.
