This course provides training to develop the welding skills necessary to produce high quality groove welds with backing on 1" thick mild steel plates in all positions using the shielded metal arc welding and flux cored arc welding processes. Weld testing will be based on the American Welding Society Structural Welding Code D1.1. 1 hour lecture, 9 hours lab.
