Students consider the physiological, psychological, spiritual, developmental and socio-cultural dimensions of adult clients during wellness and illness. Focus is on cardio-pulmonary, genitourinary, integumentary and endocrine systems. Other topics include genetics, drug therapy, safety and infection control. Students incorporate the professional nursing role into planning care. Prerequisites: admission into the nursing major component of the program; NURS 3040, 3047, 3150, PHCY 4470 or concurrent enrollment.
