The course focuses on major aspects of forage crop production and biology. Cultural practices, adaptation, sustainable agriculture and alternative use, seed production, harvest, livestock utilization and storage of forages. This course will have in-depth emphasis on characteristics of important grasses and legumes and utilization of forages for livestock production. Prerequisite: AECL 1000 or LIFE 1000.
