Taught from the perspective of a studio artist, this course enables students to situate their art within a theoretical context. Students examine how issues in contemporary art relate to philosophical concerns through reading, discussion, and critique. Emphasis is placed on an interdisciplinary framework through which students can discuss their work. Prerequisite: ART 2000, junior standing.
