Introcution to geologic principles for engineers with emphasis on near-surface processes and material properties. The first half will teach planetary basics, mineral/rock and geologic structure, surface processes, geologic material strength and deformation, and geohazards. The final half covers methods and analysis with the collection of geophysical data on-campus to assess near-surface properties with a full lab report. Prerequisites: MATH 1400 and MATH 1405 or MPE score of 5 or higher or SAT Math score of 600 or higher or ACT Math score of 27 or higher.
