PTEP 2962 Community EMS Technician Clinical (1INN,1CR)The Community Emergency Medical Services Technician Clinical course prepares the student to assist patients in the home to access appropriate healthcare resources by providing supervised experiences within the local community. Community resources and needs are discussed and utilized, along with advanced assessment techniques, environmental assessment and safety concerns, in order to assist the patient in gaining access to the most appropriate level of medical services in a timely manner that is beneficial to both the patient and the healthcare system. Prerequisite: Students are required to be currently licensed at the EMT, AEMT, IEMT or paramedic level.
