Description:

Touring Ensemble is a performance-oriented class made up of select vocal and instrumental students. It combines vocal and instrumental jazz ensembles and tours through the state as representatives of CWC. Students develop instrumental performance skills, an understanding of basic jazz theory, and jazz listening skills as they regularly evaluate their own and other's performances. Works for jazz combo are performed in consideration of their cultural/historical context. Regular attendance and concert attire are required. This course may be repeated for a maximum of eight credits applicable toward graduation. An audition will be required. (4 lab)
