This course provides training using the Gas Metal Arc, Flux Core Arc Welding (GMAW, FCAW) process to develop the skills necessary to produce high quality welds on carbon steel pipe. Topics include: Safety and Health of the Welder in the Pipe Industry, Review of Oxyacetylene Torch Cutting, Proper set up and use of Pipe Beveling Equipment, the use of Inert Gases for a shielding gas, Tip selection for .035 and .045 Welding Electrodes, Proper set up and operation of a Gas Metal Arc, Flux Core Arc power source and wire feeder.
