This course introduces students to codes and guidelines applicable to Facilities Maintenance Technology. Emphasis is placed on using codes and guidelines to answer relevant facilities maintenance questions. Codes and guidelines examined in this course include: National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 101 Life Safety Codes, International Building Code (IBC), Americans' with Disabilities Act (ADA) Codes, National Electric Code (NEC), and the National Standard Plumbing Code (NSPC).
