ENGL 2020 Intro to Literature (3L,3CR) Introduction to Literature further refines the student's abilities to gather and synthesize material from independent reading. The course focuses on teaching the specific skills, techniques, and terminology necessary for writing effectively about literature and writing literary criticism. This course will devote significant time to the discussion of writing and to its application in addition to engaging students with a variety of readings that may come from a variety of literary periods and movements. College- level essays, including a research paper and, and two oral presentations are required. Course will fulfill the Cultural Environment requirement for general education.Prerequisite ENGL 1010.
