This course introduces students to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies, procedures and standards found in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Emphasis will be placed on safety as a core value in the workplace and on the elimination and/or mitigation of hazardous conditions. The scope and application of OSHA general industry standards contained in 29 CFR 1910 will be addressed. Successful students will receive a 10-hour OSHA General Industry card. (0.5 lect.)
