This course encompasses the artificial insemination techniques used in cattle. Students will become familiar with all artificial insemination tools, semen handling techniques, and will practice insemination on live cattle. This course will also cover general management practices for beef cattle operations including evaluation of reproductive health, heifer development, genetic selection, and nutritional needs of bovine females.
