An introductory Geographic Information Systems (GIS) course. Students explore the use of computers in displaying and analyzing spatial information. Students acquire skills in manipulating geographic data for a variety of uses including: natural resource management, planning, health care, Homeland Security, agriculture, and others. Students should be familiar with Windows-based computer operating systems as well as file management procedures. Prerequisite: Completion of ENGL 0810.
