Students identify National and European schematic symbols, analyze operating characteristics, and explain the operation of interrelated wind turbine systems. Students examine measurement variables in wind turbines and explain how these variables are compiled/evaluated and then transmitted through a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system. Students analyze how data, control and feedback functions related to wind turbines are determined. This course is a comprehensive exercise in both applied schematics as well as the overall operation of a wind turbine. Prerequisites: Completion of WTT 1300 and WTT 2500.
