This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the unique opportunity to combine aspects of the tourism and agriculture industries (Agri-tourism) to provide financial, educational, and social benefits to tourists, producers, and communities. Students are given an overview of agriculture and potential opportunities combining tourism and agriculture operations are discussed. Students will examine methods that producers may use agri-tourism to generate additional revenue streams and an avenue for direct marketing to consumers.? Students will evaluate selection of "best fit" activities to provide recreation, entertainment, and/or educational experiences to visitors while minimizing risk and loss.
