Students entering this course have developed a theoretical, historical, and philosophical foundation of education. Building on that foundation, this course links theory and philosophy to classroom practice via instructional strategies. This course addresses 21st-century learning, teachers as practitioners, teacher and student-centered instructional strategies, and lesson planning. Prerequisites: Successful completion of COM1 with a C or better, 2.75 cumulative GPA, Successful completion of EDST 2450, ITEC 2360, EDEX 2484, EDST 2550, EDST 1200, EDST 2200 with a C or better, junior standing, and current State of Wyoming substitute teaching license.
