This course traces the emergence of major pedagogical traditions in rhetoric & writing studies. Students will develop an appreciation for the diverse intellectual traditions the larger field embraces, & will understand how the identities, activities, and approaches of rhetoric & writing studies scholars have changed over time & been influenced by broader cultural contexts. Prerequisites: COM 1/English 1010 or concurrent enrollment.
