Various facets of the agroecosystem are covered by visits to agricultural research stations, agri-businesses, private farms, national monuments, historical sites and Federal Parks. Students are exposed to ongoing sustainable research projects and innovative sustainable farming operations where a variety of cropping systems are utilized. Students are usually exposed to archeological remains of ancient American Indian farming systems. An 8 day trip. Prerequisite: PLNT 1000.
