This course is designed for students studying in programs such as Health Sciences, Human & Public Service, Business, and Agriculture who are interested in strengthening their "soft skills" in empathy, collaboration, creativity, and communication. Students will use theatrical literature and performances to examine, discover, and explore human emotions, relationships, and motivations. The processes involved, and the strategies and conventions used, aid students to become more socially competent. Students read and debate theatrical literature, as well as devise and write original plays to explore the intricacies and contradictions of human behavior.
