  Students learn the basics of maintaining light vehicles (trucks and cars) with diesel engines. Students learn skills necessary to enhance performance in light diesel vehicles via engine, drive, train, and stability control in order to achieve better fuel economy and towing capabilities. Students learn the basics of high performance and the effects of these type of builds when working on their own vehicles. Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in DESL 1501.
