It identifies issues, goals, and resources concerning website design. In this online course, the content is devoted to presentations, reports, collaborative activities, and analytical skills to critically appraise websites. Students gain knowledge to help them evaluate current trends of website design. Internet experience is recommended.

    INET 1580 Web Page Authoring (2L,2LB,3CR) This course covers the fundamental concept and practices of creating web content. Students begin by developing a basic web page and move on to developing a basic website. Topics include: organizing content; working with page layout; writing well-formed, valid HTML, working with cascading style sheets (CSS), linking to external websites and files on the Web. This course involves hands-on web page creation, giving students sufficient knowledge and confidence to design, develop and maintain quality websites. Windows and Word experience are recommendedThis course is an introduction to web page authoring. Students develop basic skills in: designing and formatting web pages and publishing to a server. This course will allow students to explore and discuss, among many topics, design basics, site purpose/location/content, matrix design, accessibility, usability, style, look and feel, liabilities, copyrights, inspiration and trends, etc. Extra laboratory work may be required.
