Equivalency Details

The information presented is an unofficial guide to how courses may transfer. If you complete the following at Laramie County Community College:

  • This course introduces students to fundamental scientific methods in psychology. Students acquire a variety of research strategies ranging from observational to experimental. This includes the ability to design topic proposals, conduct basic research, gather data, perform statistical analyses, interpret results, critique published research, read and write in scientific style, and use the APA format. Prerequisites: Instructor approval, and completion of PSYC 1000, and STAT 2070. May be concurrently enrolled in STAT 2070.

You may receive up to 4.00 credits at University of Wyoming:

  • Introduces students to some of the methods of investigating psychological questions. Exposes students to various research strategies ranging from observational to experimental, using representative laboratory exercises, lectures, readings, films and demonstrations. Requires written and oral reports. May be used to satisfy department's written and oral communication requirement for majors. Laboratory two hours per week. Prerequisites: PSYC 1000, ENGL WA, STAT 2050 or 2070.
